A stylish new film version of Leo Tolstoy’s masterpiece Anna Karenina, starring Keira Knightley, will hit theaters in November. Those anxious to envelope themselves in the opulent finery of the period film, however, can shop Banana Republic on October 30th. Faux fur, lace, oversized jewelry, and 1950’s-style silhouettes (though the novel is set in the 1800’s), hallmark the retailer’s Karenina-inspired collection. Big Cuts Hit Condé Nast

Dozens of staffers at titles including Self, Brides, GQ, and Glamour were dismissed to fulfill company-wide budget cuts. Among the casualties was Susan Portnoy, a long-standing vice president who handled media relations for Fashion’s Night Out.
