Each fall, the Grand Pavilion at Market Center lights up with one of the premier events on the Dallas fashion calendar. The Night of Stars Fashion and Lifestyle Awards, presented by Fashion Group International of Dallas, honors both legends and up-and-coming talent at an evening of red carpet, runway, and reveling.
Fast approaching, this year’s gala will take place on November 16th, chaired by Maxine Trowbridge of PinkMemo and Chuck Steelman of Neiman Marcus (pictured above). Earlier this week, 2012 honorees were announced at a posh cocktail party at the Hilton Anatole’s Gossip Bar.
Headlined by Fashion Design Career Achievement Award winner Lela Rose, interviewed here at DFW Style Daily last month, the roster of this year’s luminaries also includes Media Career Achievement Award recipient Terri Provencal and Lifetime Achievement honoree Sue Wade of Wade College.
Rising Star honors will go to Khanh Nguyen of Nha Khanh for Fashion Design and Angela Scott of The Office of Angela Scott for Accessories Design, among other Dallas-based talents.

Rounding out the spotlighted stars of the evening, Cassandra Bumpous will receive the first-ever Shelly Musselman Design Award. The soon-to-graduate UNT student will showcase her Forty Five Ten-sponsored capsule collection at the Night Of Stars gala, and will receive an award of $10,000.
With so much star power in one place on one night, this event is a can’t miss for any Dallas-area fashion devotee. Just ask this year’s Fashion Police, who will walk the runway to open the show in support of FGI Dallas. They include DFW Style Daily Best Dressed 2012 honoree Hanh Merriman and Model Behavior columnist Toni Munoz-Hunt.
FGI’s 2011 Fashion Police walk the stage.
