Seems like just yesterday that we here in the Lone Star State were longing for an H&M of our very own. Now, the fast fashion emporiums are multiplying at a rapid pace.   Come Thursday, August 30th, H&M’s seventh Texas location will bow at Grapevine Mills Mall (3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway, Grapevine). The new store will fête its opening day in the usual H&M manner. Tee shirt and gift card giveaways are planned, and we’d also bet a couple of employee flash mobs will crop up as well. Doors officially open at noon, and festivities will ensue during the pre-opening wait. (Images shown here are from the H&M Willow Bend Opening, November 2011.)     As for specific details on this particular location, H&M at Grapevine Mills will notably stock the retailer’s new plus size line, H&M+, as well as plenty of goodies for kids. This, in addition to the expected selection of affordable runway-to-reality looks, and everyday staples for both men and women.   Wonder where this new outpost will fall in our ever-evolving rankings of Metroplex H&M favorites? Currently, we’d score Galleria Dallas’ H&M tops for convenience, and the location at Plano’s Shops at Willow Bend wins for sheer selection. Dallas’ first H&M at NorthPark Center, sadly, usually looks picked-through and neglected, and lines for fitting rooms are often long. We haven’t visited Grapevine Mills in years, but it might be worth a trip the next time we’re stocking up or hoping to snag coveted collaboration merchandise.   (Photos, credit Ronald Hopkins)
