According to Pantone’s Fashion Color Report for Fall 2012, the pretty palette for coming months includes rich-sounding shades like “French Roast” and “Honey Gold.” But we here at DFW Style Daily are playing favorites when it comes to the hue we consider Pantone’s hottest.
Specifically, we’ve honed in on those shades that have us green with envy. In Pantone-speak, our focus today is on finding fall’s best items in colors near to “Ultramarine Green” and “Bright Chartreuse” from the Color Report. Of course, all our picks will also ring in at under $100.
The Denim: Twill skinnies by Forever 21 are transformed from low-budget to high style thanks to their perfect teal tone. Pair them with tanks and fabulous flats while temps remain warm, and add chunky, neutral knits and boots once the weather cools off.
Pricetag: $15.80, Forever 21
The Dress: Zara’s insanely fun sequined frock will leave you literally counting the days until you have a reason to wear it. We picture it with booties and a leopard clutch, and on chilly evenings, we’d add a cropped denim jacket for an eclectic look.
Pricetag: $89.90, Zara
The Jacket: It’s all about the sweet details on this blazer by H&M, not to mention its flattering cropped fit. To wear it now, push up the sleeves and add distressed denim. We’d prefer it with chic leather pants once fall arrives.
Pricetag: $34.95, H&M
The Bag: Handbag label Danielle Nicole has turned out two of our top picks this season. The “Charley” tote in olive python is the go-to bag for day, while the dainty “Julia” bag works well for evening. Both are ideal accents for this season’s must-have pieces in amber, gold, or chartreuse.
Pricetag: $60.99 – $88, Macy’s
The Shoe: Haute shoes in shades of green are everywhere for fall, whether you like to stay grounded or go sky-high. Miz Mooz’s python flats will work well with your ultra-skinny jeans, while the heels we selected by Nine West and Franco Sarto are your answer for chic soirées.
