The grand opening of Lela Rose’s flagship boutique in Highland Park Village will go down as one of 2012’s top Dallas soirées. Now, on the heels of that celebrated debut, comes the news that the Texas-born designer will be honored with a Career Achievement Award from Fashion Group International at the upcoming Night of Stars Gala.
Dallas-raised and Parsons-trained, Lela Rose is known for her hand-finished, ladylike looks. Many of her frocks evoke a demure, ‘60s-era feel, hallmarked by custom-designed textiles and impeccable craftsmanship. Since 2007, she has also designed a popular, gently-priced line of shoes and handbags for Payless.
Featured in more than 75 specialty stores nationwide, including Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdales, Rose’s line is also available around the globe in Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. Dallas’ Highland Park Village boasts the designer’s one and only freestanding boutique.
On the evening of November 16th, Lela Rose will be honored with FGI Dallas’ Career Achievement Award at the 2012 Night of Stars Fashion & Lifestyle Awards Gala. One of the fall season’s most highly-anticipated social events, it also directly supports more than $40,000 in multiple scholarships to local fashion students.
From all of us at DFW Style Daily, heartfelt congratulations are extended to Lela Rose. For more information on the 2012 Night of Stars Fashion & Lifestyle Awards, please visit our Event Calendar.
