Summer’s heat was no match for the social sizzle last Friday evening, July 20th, at the Ilume. Beginning at 8 p.m., a tanned and toned crowd converged on the pool deck of the Cedar Springs residential and business complex for the Sizzlin’ Summer Fashion Show.
Presented and coordinated by Dallas’ Prestige Model Management, proceeds from this inaugural event were set to support the Legacy Counseling Center and Founders Cottage through the Red Party Foundation.
Early to arrive and eager to kick off the weekend with a major bash, guests were quick to grab a cocktail and a prime seat before custom-designed pool-top catwalks.
Once the sun finally set for the night, those runways came alive with swimwear ranging from somewhat retro to downright racy. Designers and brands represented included Diesel, Andrew Christian, Viviona by Vera, and Anthony Manfredonia. Truth be told, however, given Prestige’s reputation for hot physiques, the looks took a backseat to the view (if you catch our drift).
At the conclusion of the show, local lovelies LeeAnne Locken and Cynthia Smoot took to the stage to award raffle items from Tiffany & Co., Neiman Marcus, and more. Jealous stares could be spied as several lucky guests nabbed coveted blue-bagged prizes. We left, sadly, empty-handed, but nonetheless feeling the love, following this evening of great fun for a fabulous cause.
