The
Dallas Children’s Theater is currently planning its new season production of
Pinkalicious The Musical, and a first-ever costume design contest is adding to the fun.
Recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the top five children’s theaters in the country, the DCT’s upcoming storybook-inspired production will feature the work of Emmy-nominated costume designer Lyle Huchton. In addition, students in kindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to submit creative costume drawings for bees, butterflies, and birds to dance alongside the play’s main character. One lucky budding designer will see their vision come to life onstage.
Crayons, paints, glitter, pencils, and more are all fair game when it comes to these inspired sketches. They must be mailed or delivered, along with the required registration form, by Monday, July 23rd (postmarked by Friday, July 20th) to
Dallas Children’s Theater, Costume Design Contest, 5938 Skillman Street, Dallas, Texas 75231.
For complete details, please visit
DCT.org. The Grand Prize winner and three Special Recognition winners will be announced on Friday, July 27th. All entries will be displayed with pride in the Dallas Children's Theater lobby for the entire run of
Pinkalicious The Musical.
