Last September, we introduced you to Rovina Outar, a talented North Texas designer focusing on evening and special occasion dresses. From her home base boutique in The Village at Fairview, Outar caters to both walk-in and private clientele, via limited-stock ready-to-wear styles and custom orders.
In the months following our initial pictorial and interview, she went on to host a full-scale runway event, presenting her Fall 2011 collection. Later, her looks graced the catwalk at The Pin Show 2012.
And now, sadly, we have learned that Outar plans to shutter her storefront at the end of July, shifting her focus exclusively to custom designs. Citing concern over decreasing traffic in the Village at Fairview as a contributing factor to her decision, the transplanted New Yorker also desires a more flexible schedule to spend time with her family. Ultimately, after much study and consideration, she found that both she and her clients could be served as well – or better – with a new model revolving around private appointments only.
Through its final days, all items at La Mère Couture Boutique (178 Fountain Court, Fairview) will be marked 50% off. Additional reductions may be taken in coming days and weeks.
Moving forward, clients may continue to contact Rovina Outar via email at Info(at)LaMereCouture.com.
