Each week, DFW Style Daily reveals the stylish obsessions of our city’s top trendsetters. Today, local skin care entrepreneur Ivy Halford is confessing the summer staple that has her comfortably addicted.
Halford, founder of Ivy’s Skin Luv, spends much of her time jetting between celebrity clients on both coasts, as well as connecting with stockists such as Whole Foods. Though all this travel can be wearing, she’s found a fashionable fixation that keeps her light on her feet.
The Obsession: Prada’s blue and green “Fish” sandals.
The Confession: “I’m a ‘water baby,’ and I love anything fish related,” Halford tells us of her current footwear fetish. “These are my new go-to shoes.”
The Rationalization: Explaining her adoration for these summer kicks, Halford notes, “I love how I feel in them, and they bring a big smile to the women who notice them!”
The Collection: Halford spotted her Prada pair at Dallas designer resale boutique, Uptown Consignment, and was immediately smitten. “I had to have them,” she recalls. They’re her latest score from the store she dubs her “undying shopping obsession.”
Shop It: These particular sandals are a rare commodity, but we located two pairs up for grabs on eBay. Purchase them in a size 10 for a “Buy It Now” price of $135, or bid on a size 9 starting at $59. Not an eBay enthusiast? Take a stylish shortcut to Neiman Marcus, where you’ll find plenty of Prada sandals already on sale. Our pick among this year’s crop is the label’s crocodile thong in a seaside-inspired shade of blue.
