September 6th, 2012 marks the fourth annual Fashion’s Night Out, a now-global initiative founded in 2009 by American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York. Like New Year’s Eve for the style obsessed, FNO will bring parties, runway shows, designer appearances, extended hours, and more, to top Dallas-area retail destinations.
Last year, DFW Style Daily was on the scene across the city, as NorthPark Center, Tootsies, and Highland Park Village (just to name a few) filled with fashion-loving revelers set to shop, sip, and dance the night way.
Straight from FashionsNightOut.com, the purpose behind these parties is to “celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy during the recession, and put the fun back in shopping.” What’s more, many local events will also feature a philanthropic tie-in.
From the NorthPark executive offices, we learn that a giant Jan Strimple-produced runway show will take place, featuring fashions from numerous retailers, hosted by Victoria Snee and WFAA’s Ron Corning. Up north, the Galleria will once again create North America’s longest runway, to be walked throughout the night by models and local celebs. Fashion Group International of Dallas will return to host its annual cocktail lounge at the Galleria as well.
As we count down the days to FNO 2012, DFW Style Daily will keep you posted on events at all our favorite local shopping centers and boutiques. Bookmark this page as your one-stop-shop for planning purposes.
