Headline Round-Up

Target Tees Up For Pride Month   LGBT Pride Month begins today, and in honor of the occasion, Target is donating 100% of PRIDE merchandise sales to the Family Equality Council. Show your support via one of several tee designs ($12.99 each), including the heather grey ‘Harmony’ print show here, a sweet rainbow shades graphic, or this cute Harajuku Mini number. The promotion extends through June 30th, up to a maximum donation of $120,000.         Amanda Sterett Debuts New Line   Two time Best of Big D award-winning jewelry designer Amanda Sterett will debut a companion line to her original Signature Collection for Fall 2012. Named for her daughter Olivia, the 40 piece line will reflect a more youthful, bohemian spirit. Known for her use of colorful stones and precious metals in unique handmade settings, Sterett’s designs translate easily from everyday wear to special occasions. Look for the baubles to hit AmandaSterett.com and local retailers in coming months.         Madonna and Gaultier, Together Again   The Material Girl’s latest world tour began yesterday in Tel Aviv, and WWD offers a peek inside her Gaultier, Prada, and D&G-designed costume collection. Speaking of Jean Paul, the designer presents an updated twist on his iconic bustier look from 1990’s Blond Ambition tour. The new version features a cage-like corset over menswear-inspired suiting elements. “It’s all about masculine and feminine, Madonna and Jean Paul Gaultier classics reinterpreted for 2012,” he explains in the article. Falling between San Antonio at number five and Atlanta in seventh place, the article trots out tired references to big hair and boots to justify this dishonor. Seems these vacation magazine readers last passed through town a few decades back.         Anyway, stay tuned next week as DFW Style Daily ranks the best and worst travel destinations in the country! …Not really. You see, we’re style experts, not travel experts, and we wouldn’t go shooting our mouths off about a subject so far outside our coverage zone.       (Photo credits, from top: 1. Target.com, 2.
