Rumor Alert: YSL Highland Park Village Opening Delayed?

In recent months, we’ve had some difficulty nailing down details on the opening of Dallas’ highly-anticipated new Yves Saint Laurent boutique in Highland Park Village. Emails to company reps have gone unanswered, as the windows of the Louboutin-neighboring storefront remain dark.   This past weekend, however, a comment from a source close to the company shed light on the lack of progress.   The source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that all upcoming YSL store openings – Dallas included – will be delayed significantly. Citing this spring’s departure of Stefano Pilati from his post as Creative Director, and the subsequent naming of new CD Hedi Slimane, he reported that the house desires all new doors to reflect the aesthetic of the new head designer.   This transition, of course, will take time. Sadly, our anonymous source stated that it will require a full year, to be exact, but we’re holding out hope for a quicker turnaround. We’ll keep you posted on official comments as they are available.   Reporting contributed by Sean Charles.   (Photo, credit DFW Style Daily)
