Introducing the Dallas Blogger Society

It’s been a very busy spring for Amy Wells Havins and Krystal Schlegel. The Dallas Wardrobe founder and Style Book author, respectively, just wrapped a successful season as two of this year’s Fresh Faces of Fashion. Schlegel also completed her studies in Fashion Media at SMU just a few weeks back, as Havins continues to build her clientele, performing “fashion facelifts” on some of our city’s most enviable closets.

No wonder their photogenic faces (always smiling, always stylish) keep popping up in the papers, and even right here at DFW Style Daily.

Now comes the news that these fashion-loving friends, in partnership with a cadre of like-minded ladies, have joined forces to form the Dallas Blogger Society.  Katie Anderson, Jaclyn Welch, Francesca Valerie, Lauren Scruggs, and Shannon Yoachum, bloggers all, complete the “Lucky 7”, as they’ve titled themselves.

With a goal of “putting Dallas fashion on the map,” the Dallas Blogger Society hosted its first happy hour event last Thursday, May 24th, at Uptown hotspot Private Social. Guests mixed and mingled, learning about local blogs focusing on everything from vintage finds to celebrities, as Top Chef Tiffany Derry’s delectable bites disappeared, along with frosty copper mugs of Moscow Mule.

A contingent from DFW Style Daily was in attendance, including Editor Lisa Petty (yours truly) and reporter Nancy Upton. We can attest to the amazing style on the scene, as well as the general atmosphere of supportive, blog-focused fun.

While the DBS website is still under construction, you can follow the Dallas Blogger Society on Twitter (@DallasBloggers) to stay up-to-date on happenings. In the meantime, here’s to this fashionable new club and the lovely ladies at its helm.
