Uptown Consignment Celebrates Two Year Anniversary
Congratulations are in order for Uptown Consignment (4152 Cole Avenue, Dallas). This Sunday, the designer resale gem will celebrate its second anniversary – and what a fashionable two years it’s been!
Following a relatively quiet opening in 2010, sisters and co-owners Connie Dieb and Camille Umland quickly developed a loyal and stylish following. Dallas was drawn to the tiny shop’s treasures, which always included the finest names (Gaultier, Vuitton, Chanel, Blahnik) in apparel, handbags, and shoes.
Dieb’s star turn on the Style Network’s Big Rich Texas came shortly thereafter, shining a reality TV spotlight on Uptown from time to time. The boutique’s splashy first anniversary fashion show event last year saw cast members and their daughters strutting the catwalk before an equally well-dressed audience.
Fast forward to this February and a relocation to a larger neighboring storefront increased Uptown’s size from 1,000 square feet to about 2,400 square feet. These days, shoppers should budget a good hour to take in the deliciously expanded selection.
And speaking of shopping, Uptown Consignment will host a Two Year Anniversary party this Sunday, May 20th. From 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., snacks and cocktails will be served, along with a generous helping of celebratory sale items. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more information and to RSVP.
Many happy returns to Uptown Consignment from all of us at DFW Style Daily!
