Headline Round-Up

Brad Goreski Schmoozes, Signs at Brooks Brothers     Brad Goreski, former Rachel Zoe protégé and star of Bravo’s It’s a Brad Brad World, hit Brooks Brothers in Dallas' West Village this past Wednesday to promote his new book, Born to Be Brad. By all accounts, he charmed the crowd, signing and chatting the night away before moving on to the next stop on his seven city tour. Check out hot blogger Cynthia Smoot’s fun write-up from the event here.         Betsey + Lulu: Set Your DVR     And speaking of fashion and reality TV, via Racked we learn that bubbly, cartwheel-turning designer Betsey Johnson will soon team with daughter Lulu in a new Style Network show. Set to hit the airwaves later this year, Betsey + Lulu will follow the pair through their Manhattan-based lives. We’ll have pink champagne (and maybe a tutu) at the ready for this series premier.         First Call for Last Call   Neiman Marcus’ latest local Last Call Studio store debuts today, April 20th, at 1601 Preston Road in Plano. Doors officially open at 10 a.m., but we predict a line will form well in advance, filled with shoppers eager to scoop up discounted men’s and women’s designer goods. On the docket for this first day are Last Call gift card giveaways and a free tote with purchase (while supplies last).     Shop Locally on Earth Day     Finally, this Sunday, April 22nd, is Earth Day. Here’s to donning our favorite organic cotton tees and hitting a few of Dallas’ top vintage and consignment stops for some fashion “recycling”.  DFW Style Daily’s favorites include (but are not limited to) Dolly Python, Clotheshorse Anonymous, Uptown Consignment, Clothes Circuit, ReThreads, Curiosities, and Gratitude.
