The first time I spotted Anonymously Yours (9310 Forest Lane, Suite 204, Dallas), located in a shopping center near the intersection of Abrams and I-635, I thought, What in the world is this little store? A quick Google search netted the info that the shop specializes in second-hand wedding dresses. Torn, tattered frocks, spotted with lipstick stains, immediately sprang to mind.   But, as is sometimes the case, I was way off the mark.   In reality, Anonymously Yours features a small but nicely-packed selection of consignment offerings – from casual to cocktail to bridal. The pieces are priced on a rolling scale, so the longer they are on the rack, the lower the totals go.   For starters, shoes are a mix of classics and standards. Mary Jane-style flats sit next to Nine West bridal pumps, priced at a shockingly low $14.99. Heel fans should note, however, that nothing in the store goes higher than three inches.   Moving on, the denim selection is very large, with sizes ranging from 0 - 22. A crisp pair of Levi’s will run you a mere $8.40. Long racks of blouses and dresses require a little sifting, but incredibly affordable prices in that department as well make it worth the search.  

  Most notably, in the rear of the store, Anonymously Yours boasts over 450 wedding dresses. Prices range from $99 to $2,000-plus. Over 300 of the dresses have never been worn, and all others are in great condition.   At $2,699, an Elizabeth Fillmore gown features stunning laser-cut lace. A similar design would retail for around $8,000.  Additional designers represented include Carolina Herrera and Watters, and Anonymously Yours mixes in gently-priced selections from the likes of David’s Bridal. Accessories, including costume and fine jewelry, are also in store. What’s more, the sales ladies know bridal like the back of their hands, boosting the experience beyond standard ‘sample sale’ level.   My trip to Anonymously Yours illustrated why this store has been around for 28 years, and is still going strong – namely, great customer service and excellent pricing.
