We here at DFW Style Daily delight in revealing the fashion obsessions of our favorite Dallas trendsetters. Today, cosmetics entrepreneur D’Andra Simmons shares a very bright idea for spring.
Simmons, founder and CEO of skin care company
Hard Night Good Morning, is among the most recognizable faces in the city’s social and philanthropic scene, but it’s her stylish and savvy business skills that have garnered recent recognition. In addition to inking a distribution deal with
Whole Foods in 2011, Simmons was also the recipient of
Fashion Group International of Dallas’ “Rising Star” Award. Here, Simmons shares a colorful spring fixation, perfect for keeping her wardrobe as fresh as the women who swear by her beauty products.
The Obsession: Simmons currently craves knockout neon accessories.
The Confession: “Remember, I am a product of the 1980's,” our expert explains, adding, “Mixing neon or brightly-colored pieces with patterns is truly fun.”
The Rationalization: Simmons tempers her enthusiasm with a warning, advising, “When it’s done right, a bright pop of color is so chic and on trend. However, I don’t recommend it for the fashionably timid!”
The Collection: Her personal picks include color-block heels by Giuseppe Zanotti and Brian Atwood (pictured below), plus Simmons names Jimmy Choo's “Daphne” clutch in leopard and neon yellow her favorite of the season.
Shop It: Spring 2012 designer kicks in neon hues by Zanotti, Atwood, and more, are available at
Neiman Marcus. The clutch in question can be found at
Jimmy Choo Highland Park Village.
