Following a tragic accident in early December, Dallas-based fashion reporter Lauren Scruggs of LOLO Magazine suffered extensive critical injuries. Now well on the road to recovery, Lauren – nicknamed ‘Lo’ – has remained in the thoughts and prayers of those who were touched by her spirit and love of fashion.
And speaking of fashion, DFW Style Daily checked in with the team at LOLO this week for an exclusive update on the e-zine. Read on for the complete LO-down.
Since December, a group of Lauren’s dedicated and talented friends have kept her online magazine hopping. LOLO’s staff now includes Operations Manager Amy Robinson, Marketing Manager Mayra De Aguero, and Editor-At-Large Shannon Yoachum.
During the course of her hospitalization and physical rehabilitation, Lauren herself has also pushed to maintain her involvement in her virtual creation.
In addition to a new look, LOLO continues to highlight video interviews, trend alerts, and beauty and food features. During New York Fashion Week, Yoachum provided insights spanning the runways to the after parties. On the travel side, popular City Guides have explored hotspots across the country, from San Francisco to Austin to Beaver Creek. Finally, local contributors provide insider info on restaurants, watering holes, boutiques, and more, from their individual towns.
In the weeks and months to come, as thousands continue to support Lauren, readers can help by visiting the Lauren Scruggs Hope Fund via LOLO Magazine.
On a personal note, Lauren is one of the kindest young ladies we have ever come across. To label her as merely a fashion blogger is an understatement – she is an inspiration, and she is thriving!
With wishes for the very best to Lauren Scruggs and LOLO Magazine, from all of us at DFW Style Daily.
