Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 8th, and don’t forget to pack a pillow and a snack if you’re looking to score Marni for H&M merch here in Big D.
The fast fashion retailer’s Fall 2011 collaboration with Versace drew pre-dawn crowds on its launch day at NorthPark Center. Eager fans waited in line for hours to get in the official line to then enter the store and shop. We expect a similar frenzy for Marni goods, as H&M has just confirmed that its NorthPark Center location will again be among the select stores to carry the line.
Designed by Marni Founder and Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni, the collection will include apparel for both men and women, featuring Marni’s signature flair for prints. Promising both African-inspired motifs and color-blocking for mixing or matching, the range will also include jewelry, shoes, bags, and scarves. Finally, a unisex Marni-designed t-shirt, through which funds will be raised for earthquake relief in Japan via the Red Cross, will add a feel-good component to the mix. Prices begin at about $10 for small accessories, and climb to about $200 for outerwear.
