Street Style: Golden Globes Special Edition

Flesh, nude, and blush tones conquered the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. This range of muted hues contrasted sharply with a strong secondary showing of rich reds and blues. Naturally, most every gown was also accented with breathtaking jewels by the likes of Cartier, Chopard, and Harry Winston. Below, I'll count down my top five looks from Sunday evening's star-studded fashion parade, and as always, your comments are encouraged.       5. Angelina Jolie This Atelier Versace gown fit her to perfection. The splash of red at the neckline added an eye-catching pop of color. Her oversized studs are by Lorraine Schwartz.                   4. Rooney Mara All eyes were on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo last night. Her gown by Nina Ricci with a plunging v-neckline showed skin in all the right places, while maintaining a modern edge.                   3. Emma Stone In a Lanvin gown, combining both red and burgundy hues, Stone's waistline was accented with an eagle-embellished belt. This look was absolutely beautiful and simple.                     2. Sofia Vergara The Modern Family star paired a Vera Wang gown with Harry Winston jewels. The navy color was stunning on her curvaceous body, accented to glamourous effect by a fish tail hem.                   1. Charlize Theron This Dior Couture creation was, hands-down, my top pick from the Golden Globe Awards. Cartier museum jewels and loose chignon crowned with a glittering headpiece completed the Deco-inspired look.                 (Photo credits, from top: 1. Styleite.com, 2. Temptalia.com, 3.
