Shopping guru Rhonda Sargent Chambers invites us to ring in 2012 with looks from the Roaring ‘20s.

Read on for her picks for modern-day jazz babies.

The Jazz Age ushered in new era in women’s clothing, allowing for corset-free movement and a little ankle-baring sex appeal. Now, nearly a century later, the 1920’s remains one of the most iconic, recognizable periods in fashion.

On-trend right now, these looks roar with Gatsby-esque flair. You’ll dazzle in period pieces like drop-waist dresses and Deco-inspired accessories while ringing in 2012. Below I’ve highlighted some of my favorite picks in this genre for all you modern-day flappers.

The LeLuxe Clothing Company is an Art Deco dress heaven. The ‘Cherry Black’ shown here ($249.99) is adorned with glass beads, tassels, and a removable sash.

A jazzy, sleeveless fringe dress from Macy’s ($69), is on-point and very affordable. I love the nude color as well, with a touch of metallic shine.

Moving on to accessories, from G-Lish, an oversized, jewel-accented cuff ($240) is a piece you’ll continue to reach for all year.

These incredible vintage-inspired chandelier earrings by Lulu Frost ($350) are one-of-a-kind, only available through Charm and Chain.

At Deux Lux, I found this peacock feather-print clutch ($124). In black or silver, it’s a statement piece sure to draw attention.

Finally, a hand-beaded leather flower purse in gunmetal grey from the Coach ‘Poppy’ collection ($298) is current with a touch of the ‘20s.
