We expect nothing less than crowds of frenzied shoppers and flash mob-style staffer serenades at this third North Texas debut.
DFW Style Daily was on the scene for the fast fashion juggernaut’s first two much-hyped Texas openings. Back in August, we waded through a crowd of thousands at NorthPark, including many anxious shoppers who camped overnight to gain early access to the store. Thereafter, a November shebang in Plano (pictured above) drew a smaller, though no less devoted, audience.
Both events featured H&M sales staff acting as warm-up crews, singing and dancing while handing out swag. Plenty of media crews and an appearance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders added to the frenzied atmosphere.
Lest we guess that the Metroplex’s H&M mania will have calmed at this point, it’s worth noting the new store’s suburban location, and the fact that some students are currently on break from school. This opening will also tie-in The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. A financial grant will be given to the organization, and youngsters in the program will be treated to gift cards and pre-opening shopping. Add it all up, and we’re willing to bet that debut number three will be an equally exuberant event.
Getting down to specifics, H&M Town East will carry clothing for both men and women, as well as kids, per usual. Upping the ante, however, this particular location will also feature maternity, lingerie, and sports apparel collections.
Doors open Thursday, December 15th at noon – but if you can’t make it to Town East this week, you’re hardly out of luck. A fourth H&M is coming to Galleria Dallas in 2012. We’ll keep you posted on details as they become available.
