Mark your calendars for the Southwest debut of ‘Dressed’, the inspiring story of fashion designer Nary Manivong.
Presented by El Centro College at Oak Cliff’s Texas Theater, the screening will be attended by Manivong himself, as well as design partner Ally Hilfiger. Read on for full details.
The documentary ‘Dressed’ chronicles the life of fashion designer Nary Manivong, through his struggles with homelessness to his runway presentations at New York Fashion Week. Directed by David Swajeski, the film combines Manivong’s story with commentary from top industry experts including Simon Doonan, Fashion Group International President Margaret Hayes, designer Nanette Lepore, and Fern Mallis, creator of New York Fashion Week.
The Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design programs of El Centro College, in conjunction with Amrel Revilo Productions, will present the Southwest premier of ‘Dressed’ on Friday, October 28th at the Texas Theater (231 W. Jefferson Blvd., Dallas). Directly following the screening at 8 p.m., both Manivong and Ally Hilfiger, his design partner in the label NAHM, will conduct a Q&A session with guests.
Reserve your seat for the premier via Eventbrite; a suggested donation of $20 to El Centro College will be accepted at the door.
