Event co-chairs Maxine Trowbridge (PinkMemo.com) and Terri Provencal (Patron Magazine) hosted a stylish group of guests on the evening of October 5th to announce this year’s honorees at the upcoming 2011 Fashion Group International Fashion & Lifestyle Awards Gala.
Prashi Shah’s new Oak Lawn Avenue showroom provided a dramatic backdrop for the event, set with sleek white furniture bathed in golden light. Models in the designer’s Prashe Holiday Collection mingled in the crowd, which included FGI members and upcoming gala award-winners.
This year’s honorees will include Carley Seale’s The Gypsy Wagon boutique (Rising Star, Retail), restaurateur Alberto Lombardi (Lifestyle Career Achievement Award), and Project Runway alum Shirin Askari (Rising Star, Fashion Design). Shelly Musselman, founder of internationally recognized Dallas designer boutique Forty Five Ten, will be honored with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award.
A dozen of our city’s most fashionable trendsetters will also walk the runway at the gala as members of this year’s Fashion Police. We spotted Jarrod Fresquez in the crowd at this kick-off event, one of the upcoming policemen.
The 2011 Fashion & Lifestyle Awards Gala will take place at the Dallas Trade Mart’s Grand Pavilion on the evening of November 18th. Visit Dallas.FGI.org for more information. Until then, feast your eyes on our exclusive gallery from last night’s kick-off event.
