Dallas Design Duo Varela + Brooks Headed to NOLA Fashion Week

The young and accomplished team will present a label-exclusive runway show in New Orleans on Thursday, October 20th. Read on for the stylish scoop.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isabel Varela and Ashlee Brooks wowed the judges at this summer’s Texas’ Next Top Designer show. Though founded just nine months ago, the young team’s Varela + Brooks line won second place in the competition, as well as praise from media and area fashion fans alike.

 

 

Next on the Dallas designers’ busy calendar is a trip to New Orleans to present their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection at NOLA Fashion Week. Launched earlier this year, the twice-yearly showcase highlights designers based or born in the south. This will be Varela + Brooks second appearance at the event.

 

On the duo’s newest looks, which remain under tight wraps, Ashlee Brooks says, “[Everyone] can still expect my preference for very feminine, flowing garments, and Isabel’s tailored sensibility. It is our trademark.”
