Insider Shopping: Lovers Lane Boutique-Hopping

Our shopping guru Rhonda Sargent Chambers just returned from scoping fresh fall arrivals at several top Dallas boutiques. Read on for her irresistible finds.

You just might discover a new favorite shopping spot (or two or three).

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for fall shopping. For weeks now, I’ve been preparing my “need and want” list for the cool weather approaching.

When it comes to reliable spots where I can always find something in the “want” category, three boutiques on Lovers Lane in Dallas come to mind.

First of all, a constant flow of on-trend merchandise is always guaranteed at Connie Sigel’s boutique, Elements (4400 Lovers Ln.). She never fails to dazzle me. Walking into the store makes me feel warm and fuzzy right now, flush as it is with rich autumn tones.

Below, I’ve highlighted some of my favorite finds at Elements:

From left: Dress by Madison Marcus ($348) and Necklace by Irani & Gressier by Blank ($154),

Tote by Foley & Corinna ($436), Fur Vest by Heartloom ($308)

Just across the street from Elements are Hemline (4439 Lovers Ln.) and Lou Lou (4417 Lovers Ln.). These sassy little boutiques stock a range of fun grabs, as well as great investment pieces.

Hemline is such a wonderful shop. It’s perfectly merchandised and easy to browse. The young shop girls are also always pleasant and helpful – never too pushy.

Check out my top picks from Hemline right now:

Tops by Ella Moss ($136)

Finally, Lou Lou owner Molly Thayer and I always love to chat about insider industry tidbits. I can count on her to tell me what trend items are coming up for the next season.

Molly just returned from her pre-spring buying trip, and she reveals, “My favorite spring trend is striped and patterned wedges. Fabulously colorful stripes on the new wedges make for truly unique Spring 2012 footwear.”

Make a note of that upcoming trend, and in the meantime, my fall finds from Lou Lou are pictured below:
