5 Obsessions: Lisa Alfieri Forecasts a Glamorous Fall

Each week, DFW Style Daily reveals the fashion fixations of our city’s top trendsetters. Today, Lisa Alfieri, owner of designer jewelry boutique SWAG at NorthPark Center, lists the fall accessories she just can’t live without. Hint: Jewels are going glam, and snake is very charming.

1. Lulu Frost Initial Necklace

Alfieri adores the old-meets-new feel of jewelry by Lulu Frost. Featuring antique numbers & letters (circa 1907) from New York’s iconic Plaza Hotel, designer Lisa Salzer’s creations adorn the necks of in-the-know fashionistas. The “Letter B” necklace is pictured here ($385).

2. Erickson Beamon’s “Bette Davis Eyes” Cuff

Noting Beamon’s eye for drama, Alfieri adores this ‘30s-inspired bracelet from his eponymous label. “It’s just as powerful in style as the actress was on screen. Edge meets glam in this piece,” she says of her statement-making pick. Explore the Erickson Beamon Collection at SWAG, and mark your calendar for a special trunk show event, beginning November 11th.

3. Cool Clutches

Alfieri is collecting major clutches for fall, and commenting on her current favorites, she says,The eclectic combinations of colors and materials are decadent on this season’s clutches. Some of my favorites are by Dries Van Noten and Fendi.” Shown here, the jeweled stingray clutch by Fendi ($4,260) is available at Neiman Marcus.

4. Polished Python

Right now, our expert is addicted to everything serpent-inspired. I think it looks great on all things – purses, shoes, even jewelry,” she notes. Top python picks include snakeskin cuffs by local label Nest ($195), platform heels by Sergio Rossi (Intermix, $715), and Charles David’s “Kaylan” booties (Dillard’s, $295).

5. Vintage Jewels

Finally, Alfieri loves collecting jewelry from bygone eras. She elaborates, “I especially love designer lines that become collectors’ items over time, because they prove they can be consistent in their aesthetic value and quality, and transcend trends.” Hunt for finds at flea markets and vintage stores, and shop current designer lines with enduring style at SWAG.

Abby Gregory

Working as a fashion writer has always been Abby Gregory’s dream. It’s also the perfect way to justify her love of shopping, her vintage obsession, and the scandalous amount of time she spends choosing an outfit. In addition to covering all things stylish for clients including NBC DFW and PinkMemo, Abby pens her own blog, Wish For It, featuring haute finds under $100. In her fantasy future, Abby would like to meet Dolly Parton, live in the same town as her little sister, and own a boutique stocked with the amazing things she’s snagged at Goodwill.
