Now Open: Trina Turk at Highland Park Village

Dallas’ favorite luxury shopping center debuts the California-chic designer’s first Texas boutique.     Hallmarked by effortless yet sophisticated prints and touches of whimsical charm, Trina Turk’s new Highland Park Village boutique reflects the “multicultural mix, architecture, and landscape” of California that are the designer’s inspirations.   Located next door to Vince, the compact space is well-organized, featuring touches of mid-century décor. Spherical pendant lighting and semi-circular sectional couches transport shoppers to a ’60s-era West Coast bungalow. Add in piles of fashionable coffee table books, and one might feel tempted to curl up with a glass of Napa Chardonnay and postpone shopping for a while.   Turk’s sportswear, swimwear, jewelry, and handbags are neatly displayed throughout the store. Right now, shoppers will find suiting, coats, and dresses up front, and the Resort 2012 collection toward the back. Staffers are friendly and helpful – we even overheard one shop girl helping a guest locate a pair of pants at a store in another state.   We’ve selected a few of our favorite finds from our first trip to Trina Turk below. It’s also worth noting that prices are quite reasonable, with the typical Village luxury price point in mind.

From left: Sage Blouse ($212), Resin Ball Ring ($75), Breene Sequin Dress ($338)   Trina Turk is located at 93 Highland Park Village. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 5 p.m.
