Vitaminwater, Local Designers Make a Splash at the Granada

On Tuesday, August 30th, the Vitaminwater Inspired Fashion Show drew a standing-room-only crowd to Dallas’ Granada Theater. Competing for a $2500 grand prize, nine local emerging designers sent looks down the runway, inspired by various Technicolor-toned flavors of the Coca-Cola brand beverage.

DFW Style Daily was front and center (at the judges’ table, in fact) for the high-energy event.

Competing designers included Salvage House, Ann Hoang, Haute DJ, Emmanuel Tobias, Coco Bourgeoisie, Barron & J, Morgan LaRochelle, STATUS by Sarah Jones, and Neil Marek. Each was assigned the task of creating two original looks, reflecting the spirit of a certain type of Vitaminwater. Clever flavor names like “Squeeze”, “Glow”, and “Go-Go” will give you an idea of the challenge at hand.

The looks were then judged by a panel of fashion experts, as well as by members of the audience.  All this, set to the tune of pop hits by local band Live 80.
