Watch: Back to School Shopping Tips on NBC 5

For many North Texas kids, summer break officially ends this coming Monday, August 22nd. This weekend also marks our annual state-wide Sales Tax Holiday. In honor of both occasions, I visited Samantha Davies at NBC 5 to share a few shopping tips and two cool back-to-school looks.

Models Kileigh and Luke are wearing clothing from Allen Premium Outlets and shoes by Famous Footwear. Key pieces include Kileigh’s bargain-priced tee ($6) and skinny jeans ($33) from the Gap Outlet, plus a pair of red silk ballet flats by Rocket Dog ($39.99). Luke’s look features a faux leather jacket with built-in hoodie ($40), cotton plaid shirt ($25), and jeans ($20) from Rue 21.

Tax-free weekend extends through this Sunday, August 21st. Most clothing, shoes, backpacks and school supplies priced under $100 are included in the deal.
