Earlier this week, we shared the good news that Austin-based jewelry designer Kendra Scott will soon open a namesake boutique in West Village. Today, DFW Style Daily has the details on two more hot openings in the Uptown shopping center.
Firstly, a locally-owned clothing boutique, Demerara, will debut later this month. Founded by sisters Cassie and Andrea Ganesh, it will stock styles for both men and women, featuring contemporary labels like Trina Turk.
Consider us excited, if mildly wary, owing to the fact that Demerara’s concept sounds remarkably similar to the store it will be replacing. (Assembly, located in the same storefront between Tommy Bahama and Cowboy Cool, shuttered abruptly in January.)
Next up, come September, LF (LFStores.com) will bring its West Coast vibe to Dallas. With the other four LF locations residing in California, New York, Miami, and Boston, we feel honored to welcome the cool boutique to Dallas. If our trip to LF’s Robertson Boulevard location in Los Angeles recently is any indication, shoppers can expect exclusive kicks from Jeffrey Campbell and gypset-inspired items by labels like Emma & Sam and Rebecca Minkoff.
We adore a new door, and it’s likely that we’ll be finding many excuses to cruise the West Village’s offerings quite a bit in weeks to come. Speaking of which, click here for a full rundown of Fashion’s Night Out events in the West Village.
