SMU’s Hilltop Glossy has joined the D family. Now called StyleSheet, the online photo diary features pics of stylish locals around town. …First up, this reporter’s Four Legged Fashion event ensemble on the D Mag homepage.
On Monday, August 1st, ShopTalk’s Raya Ramsey introduced us to her blog’s newest sibling, StyleSheet. Formerly SMU’s Hilltop Glossy, the site will document the local street fashion scene through Sartorialist-style photos.
An initial welcome message post explains, “We’ll cover everything from the boulevard to [the] runway to tailgates to parties. You get the point. Basically, anything that’s valuable to the most discerning of voguettes.”
Photos right now include accessories and ensembles spotted on the streets of Dallas, sans captions or quotes. Raya did the new site a solid over on ShopTalk by offering a suggestion as to where to buy a ring featured in one of those photos, but other than that, we presume they’re for inspirational purposes only.
Incidentally, however, the lead image selling StyleSheet on D’s homepage right now is of this reporter’s backside. For those wondering about the details of my ensemble, the navy polka-dot dress is from ModCloth and the handbag is one I picked up years ago at a sample sale.
Readers can also zoom over to the D Magazine Best of Big D list or recent ShopTalk posts via StyleSheet’s right sidebar. Under the Archives header, one can also view photos grouped by the neighborhood in which they were snapped (SMU, Grand Prairie, Downtown, etc.).
Congrats to editors Kristi and Scot Redman, and we’ll look forward to reading (and spotting ourselves in) D Magazine’s StyleSheet blog.
