Wednesday night’s Club Monaco opening party in the West Village got off to a bumpy start, with two toppling trays of champagne and a late-running video shoot preventing any mixing, mingling, or music for the first 30 minutes of the event. Staffers also seemed prepped to the point of “petrified”, worrying aloud about whether they were permitted to have their pictures taken or answer certain questions from members of the press. Sheesh.
In the midst of it all, hostesses Jane Aldridge and her mom Judy were calm and collected. She of Sea of Shoes chatted with DFW Style Daily before the crowds converged.
“We love Club Monaco,” Jane gushed, continuing, “We were very sorry when the one at NorthPark went away.”
