Each week, DFW Style Daily reveals the style fixations of our city’s top trendsetters. Today, UrbanDaddy Dallas Editor Jim Bridges confesses his ‘man purse’ mania and more.
1. J. Crew Laptop Bag
Through UrbanDaddy’s daily emails, Bridges leads his loyal followers to guy magnets like supermodel-laden pool parties, burger joints, and pubs. It takes a real man, however, to admit he loves his man purse. At left, a leather railway bag by J. Crew ($298) is a close match to Bridges’. Speaking of which, he’d probably also love this Zazzle tee.
2. The Perfect Tux
There is, arguably, nothing better than a man in a well-tailored tuxedo. Bridges tapped local custom clothier, D. Jones Tailored Collection, to make his favorite. Shop their bespoke suiting and check out the 400 fabrics they offer at 3010 LBJ Freeway, #1228 in Dallas. Prices range from $675 to $1,300.
3. Spring Court Kicks
It’s tough to source sought-after Spring Court shoes stateside, but Bridges snagged his pair from the famous brand for only $20 through J. Crew. There is a limited selection available on JCrew.com right now, but you can explore the entire line on Spring Court’s website. Fair warning: it’s in French.
4. The Moscow Mule
“ I prefer fighting the Texas heat with this ginger beer and vodka drink,” says Bridges. “They make a great one at The Cedars Social.”
(Let’s not tell him that this is also Oprah’s favorite warm weather cocktail.)
5. Graham Colton’s New Album, Pacific Coast Eyes
Bridges is a big fan of Graham Colton’s music, but we’re more fascinated by his cool shades, seen here on the cover of his latest album. Shop like a rock star right here in Dallas by picking up a pair of chic Illesteva sunglasses (from $150) at V.O.D.
